Stima Investment Membership
Stima Investment Co-operative Society has grown its equity from Shs 100 million during inception in year 2005 to Shs 1 billion as at 31st December, 2013 and was able to pay its members dividends at the rate of 20% of their share holding. The Society’s Central Management Committee (C.M.C.) intends to mobilize more funds to invest in land sale business and real estate development for sale and lease in order to generate more income and hence increased dividend pay- out to its members.
Some of the investment ventures the Society is currently undertaking include:-
- Development of an eight-storey Stima Mall along Kolobot/Mushembi Road, Parklands, Nairobi, for rental.
- Development of 76 three- and four-bed roomed residential units at Syiokimau, Nairobi, for sale
- Planned development of 300 low cost two- and three- bed roomed units along Kangundo Road, Nairobi, for sale
- Ongoing sale of plots in proposed Juja, Vipingo in Mombasa, Kakamega, Kathwana Tharaka Nithi and Mweiga in nyeri
The benefits accruing to members of the Society include:
- Subsidized prices for all our products e.g. on land and houses.
- Priority in product sales including commercial rental spaces at subsidized prices e.g. the Kitengela shopping centre etc.
- Dividend Payment each year.
- Due diligence on lands at very low cost but at the highest level of expertise
- Creation of wealth for our members.
Membership is now open and to join the society one is required to do the following:-
1. Pay an entrance fee of Kshs 5, 000.00 which is payable only once
2. Buy a minimum of 300 shares of Kshs 200 each i.e. Kshs 60, 000.00

Over the years, The Society has created wealth for its members though assisting them to acquire land at strategic locations around the country at very attractive, below the market prices. Some of the locations we have sold land include Kitengela behind New light academy, Embu in Gacoka area, Mombasa in Kikambala 800m from the ocean, Njoro along Nakuru Njoro road , Kabarak opposite Kabarak University and in Thika next to Buffalo Hills golf course.
Currently we have the following plots on sale:-
Kikambala: Stima Investments is offering 30 strategically located commercial plots with ready titles on sale located at Kikambala near Sun and Sand hotel @ Kshs. 1,500, 000.00 per plot
Vipingo in Mombasa: - ¼ an acre fully serviced i.e. with mar rum road, masonry wall, water reticulation and title deed @ 2.5 million per acre for members and 3 million for non members. The land is situated opposite the upcoming utalii university and is approximately 500 meters from the ocean.
Kakamega near Jamidas resort: - an 1/8 of an acre retailing at Kshs 450,000.00 for members and Ksh 500,000.00 for non-members. Price is inclusive of road network and title deed.
Juja along juja farm road: - an eighth of an acre retailing at Kshs 635,000.00 for members and Ksh 753,000.00 for non-members. Prices inclusive of road network, title deed and barbed wire fence.
The land is 7.5 Km from Juja town along Juja farm road which is earmarked for tarmacking, and it is ready for development. The Land is only 20 minutes drive to the CBD.
Kathwana in Meru: a quarter of an acre going for Ksh 400,000.00 for members and Ksh 471,000.00 for non-members. Price inclusive of road network, title deed and barbed wire fence.
The land is within Kathwana town, which is the headquarters for Tharaka Nithi County. It’s a new town being built from scratch to host the head quarters and thus anticipated capital gain is very high. The land is next to the Governors Residence (construction works ongoing)
